An absolutely beautiful 1878 key date twenty cent piece graded PR 63 by PCGS This very attractive coin carries a superior proof strike with some attractive original toning throughout both sides. It holds very mark free surfaces for only the PR 63 grade deemed by PCGS.
The 1878 twenty cent piece was only minted as a proof strike coin and holds a low mintage of only 600 according to the 2020 United States Red Book. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 500 of these still exist in all grades today. At the time of this listing this coin is one of only a total of 148 graded PR 63 by PCGS.
