Bontrager Early Mountain Frame One Off Custom

This is a very unique Race Lite frame. The head verifies that is indeed Race Lite lineage. It’s from mid to late 80’s, early 90’s and was built in Keith’s garage. It started life as an experimental 700C(29’r) bike. Tire options at that time was limited in 700c, 29’r size, for an off road tread. I have a Hanebrink fork listed as well that was installed on this frame. The rear brake bosses where relocated to accommodate 26” wheels. I’d really like to see the pair stay together and would make a package deal for an interested buyer. Converting it back to a 700C would be very cool as well. Also, there are no serial numbers on this frame.
There are no numbers stamped anywhere on the frame that I can find. The hole in the head tube that I show a picture of, was to accommodate the set screw on the Hanebrink Fork.
